In what’s been the tale of St George FC’s season, closing matches has been a tough ask following yet another late heartbreak as NWS Spirit FC secured a point with a last gasp goal in injury time as the round 12 match ended 2-2 at Christie Park on Saturday.

Marconi Stallions have made it a sensational 12 games unbeaten to start their campaign as they emerged with a 2-0 win over rivals APIA Leichhardt in the Derby d’Italia.

After a flurry of early chances for both sides, it was Marconi that found the opening goal, with a Marko Jesic low cross finding Jake Trew, who converted clinically.

In the 26th minute, Marconi doubled their lead, with a mirrored move down the left flank seeing Trew’s low cross turned in for an own goal.

Marconi held on happily from then on in, with chances to add a third, and will head into Round 13 with a six-point lead at the top of the ladder.

Wollongong Wolves 2 v Mt Druitt Town Rangers 1 at Sir Ian McLennan Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Wollongong Wolves came from behind to down Mount Druitt Town Rangers 2-1 on Sunday evening at Ian McLennan Park.

John Azar gave the visitors a halftime lead, but Wollongong surged back in the second half courtesy of goals to Lachlan Scott and Marcus Beattie.

Rockdale Ilinden 3 v Central Coast Mariners 1 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Rockdale Ilinden have risen to second on the NPL Men’s NSW ladder after their 3-1 Round 12 victory over the Central Coast Mariners at the Illinden Sports Centre.

The hosts scored two quick-fire strikes in the 11th and 16th minutes courtesy of Alec Urosevski and Ali Auglah as ‘The Baker’ cooked up a storm with two goals and one assist on the evening.

Whilst Rocco Smith forged a hard-earned header for the visitors.

Rockdale left in second on the ladder with the Central Coast seemingly left searching for answers in the bottom half of competition.

Blacktown City 3 v Sydney United 58 2 at Landen Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights

It was truly a tale of two halves as Blacktown City stunned Sydney United 58 with a 3-2 comeback win at Landen Stadium.

The first half was dominated by Sydney United 58, with Mason Wells and Patrick Antelmi’s goals giving the visitors a 2-0 lead into the break.

But Blacktown City came out firing on all cylinders for the second half as goals from Travis Major and Lachlan Campbell levelled the scores after just six minutes.

It was a penalty for Blacktown City that sealed them the win, with Jak O’Brien easily converting the shot for the 3-2 victory and all three points.

Sydney Olympic 2 v Manly United 5 at Valentine Sports Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Manly United secured three valuable points in a 5-2 thriller against Sydney Olympic at Valentine Sports Park.

The visitors were spurred to victory through goals by Harry Van Der Saag, Taiga Kawano, Darcy Burgess, Lucas Meek and Farah Koko, with Olympic’s only resistance coming from Cyrus Dehmie’s first half brace.
