Central Coast Mariners 2 v Western Sydney Wanderers 2 at Wanderers Football Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
The Western Sydney Wanderers shared points with the Central Coast Mariners in an entertaining 2-2 draw at Wanderers Football Park on Saturday afternoon.
Ben Mewett opened the scoring at the wrong end of the park with an own goal giving Wanderers the lead in the 16th minute.
Jai Rose managed an equaliser in the 34th minute but the hosts answered back through Lachlan Tilt in the 39th minute.
Harper Ryles tied up the score for the second time in the 85th minute in what would be the final goal of the match.
Manly United 0 v St George FC 0 at Cromer Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
A stunning 85th minute penalty save from Mackenzie Syron has seen St George FC secure a point against Manly United in a nil-all draw on a rainy Friday evening at Cromer Park.
Despite their dominance in the first half, St George FC were unable to break down the hosts, before a chaotic final ten-minutes ensured leaving both sides wanting more but the match ended in a stalemate and the points were shared.
Sutherland Sharks 0 v Marconi 2 at Seymour Shaw – Full Match Report and Highlights
Marconi Stallions turned around their first loss of the season last week to easily take down Sutherland Sharks 2-0 at Seymour Shaw.
After suffering their first defeat of the season courtesy of Wollongong Wolves last weekend, Marconi Stallions wasted no time in bouncing back, with Dominic Costanzo scoring just four minutes in followed by a stunning strike from James Bayliss.
The Sutherland Sharks came into the second half looking like a completely different team but despite decent chances from both sides, the game ended 2-0 to Marconi Stallions
NWS Spirit FC 5 v Mt Druitt Town Rangers 0 at Christie Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
It was a clinical performance from NWS Spirit FC as they smashed the Mt Druitt Town Rangers 5-0 at Christie Park on Saturday.
Celebrating the club’s tribe day, the Spirit side put on a first half show as Michael Konestabo, Takumi Ofuka and Kyah Williams hit the back of the net.
The hosts added two more in the second, a brace from Konestabo and a nice strike by Marco Arambasic that all but ended a great day for David Perkovic’s side.
Wollongong Wolves 0 v Blacktown City 1 at WIN Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights
Blacktown City edged past Wollongong Wolves 1-0 on Saturday night with a disciplined display at WIN Stadium.
After a quiet first half from both teams, Jak O’Brien won the points for the visitors with a well-hit strike late on in the fixture.
Rockdale Ilinden 2 v Sydney FC 1 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights
Rockdale Ilinden secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over a talented Sydney FC outfit in wet and miserable conditions at the Ilinden Sports Centre on Sunday.
In a rarity of any defender, Blake Ricciuto scored twice in the first half which gave Ilinden a good lead before Mathias Macallister added FC’s first in the dying stages of the match but it was to be too little too late as the hosts hung on for a well-earned win.
APIA Leichhardt FC 2 v Sydney Olympic 0 at Lambert Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
APIA Leichhardt have picked up their eighth win of the season after defeating Sydney Olympic 2-0 at Lambert Park.
The home side opened the scoring in the eighth minute as Jordan Segreto pounced on a back pass and slid the ball past a stranded Sydney Olympic goalkeeper.
In the second half, they repeated the trick, with Franco Farinella the scorer, intercepting a back pass and finishing clinically to give APIA all three points at their home ground.
Sydney United 58 1 v St George City 0 at Sydney United Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights
A late winner from Anthony Tomelic spurred Sydney United 58 to a 1-0 triumph over St George City.
It was a thrilling encounter with both sides producing great chances to no avail until the 84th minute when Tomelic stepped up and found a rare goal to secure the points.
