Sydney FC 2 v APIA Leichhardt FC 6 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Match Report and Highlights

APIA Leichhardt have made it four wins from five with a sensational 6-2 victory over Sydney FC at Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre on Friday night.

An early Presley Ortiz double gave APIA the lead, before Sydney clawed a goal back via a crisp Lachlan Middleton strike.

However, in the second half, goals to Franco Farinella and Jack Stewart made it 4-1 for the away side, before 16-year-old Max Court added a fifth with a brilliant first senior goal.

Mathias Macallister clawed back a goal for Sydney, but Alex Denmead added the icing on the cake for APIA with a crisp header to finish off an eight-goal thriller.

Sutherland Sharks 1 v St George FC 1 at Seymour Shaw – Match Report and Highlights

Honours were shared at Seymour Shaw on Saturday as the Sutherland Sharks and St George FC played out an entertaining 1-1-all draw.

The game saw its first goal after three minutes and it was the Sharks who took the lead thanks to a cool finish from its in-form attacker Maki Petratos slotting home giving Saints keeper Mackenzie Syron no chance.

The pressure started to wear on the hosts soon after as the Saints finally broke through with club captain Troy Danaskos notching the equaliser right on half-time. Danaskos’ accurate header from a Nicholas Kalogerou free-kick gave Nizic no chance as the visitors celebrated.

It was to be the final goal of the match as no goals were scored in the second, both teams sharing the spoils.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers 1 v Manly United 0 at Popondetta Park – Match Report and Highlights

Mt Druitt Tow Rangers picked up three valuable points in their 1-0 result against Manly United FC at Popondetta Park.

Their first home win of the 2025 campaign came from a 24th minute strike from Lachlan Vasiliou despite a late charge from the visitors to secure the vital points in the club’s push to avoid relegation.

Sydney Olympic 2 v Marconi 0 at Jubilee Stadium – Match Report and Highlights

Sydney Olympic FC have issued a statement to the rest of the league of their quality after downing Premiership contenders Marconi Stallions 2-0 at Jubilee Stadium.

The Blues overwhelmed the Stallions with an own goal from Tyren Burnie and quality finish by Dylan Ruiz-Diaz helping them earn one of their most impressive wins of the season, keeping them well in the hunt for the top six in the process.

NWS Spirit FC 1 v Western Sydney Wanderers 0 at Christie Park – Match Report and Highlights

The NWS Spirit FC had to fight hard to earn a gritty 1-0 victory over relegation threatened Western Sydney Wanderers at Christie Park on Saturday night.

After an even start to the fixture, the hosts took full control in the second half with a Frankie Ljucovic strike separating the sides as they once returned to the winner’s circle once more.

Wollongong Wolves 1 v Rockdale Ilinden 3 at WIN Stadium – Match Report and Highlights

Rockdale Ilinden FC secured a monumental 3-1 victory over the hapless Wollongong Wolves at WIN Stadium on Saturday night.

Ali Auglah opened the scoring in the 37th minute for the visitors, with Moudi Najjar doubling their lead before the half-time break.

Nicholas Olsen gave Wollongong a glimmer of hope in the 57th minute through a converted penalty but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide on the match, with Najjar securing his double in the 64th minute to secure the win.

The three points are crucial for the visitors, keeping Rockdale at the top of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s ladder.

Central Coast Mariners 3 v Sydney United 58 1 at Pluim Park – Match Report and Highlights

Bottom placed Central Coast Mariners produced a gutsy victory over Sydney United 58, stunning their opponents 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Pluim Park.

It was a huge result for the young Mariners who needed the victory in their pursuit of avoiding direct relegation as the win put them within two-points of 15th placed Mt Drutt Town Rangers. The victory also snapped United 58’s seven successive game winning streak which included two Cup matches.

Ahmad Elhelou opened the scoring in the first half before Jai Rose doubled their advantage soon after halftime.

Alessandro Lacalandra pulled a goal back for United 58 later in the second period, but Elhelou’s second in stoppage time earned the home side a much-needed three points.

Blacktown City 3 v St George City 1 at Landen Stadium – Match Report and Highlights

Blacktown City had one of their games of the season as they bested St George City FA 3-1 at Landen Stadium.

With both teams so close on the ladder, it was no surprise when the first half was a tense, back and forth affair, with only a Jak O’Brien penalty goal the difference at the break.

St George City FA got on level terms in the 74th minute thanks to a Marc McNulty goal, but Blacktown took less than a minute to reclaim the lead with a goal from Sebastian Hayward.

An 85th minute stunner from Jakob Cresnar sealed all three points for Blacktown City.
