Sydney FC and Blacktown City FC drew 3-3 in a pulsating draw which warmed up a wet Ilinden Sports Centre to kick off Round 29 in the NPL NSW Men’s competition.

Blacktown City FC took the lead in the 28th minute from a Grant Lynch header to lead 1-0 at half-time. Sydney FC came out of the break with a renewed vigour and turned the game.

Jordan Graoroski equalised in the 52nd minute for 1-1 with a thumping effort then Lachlan Middleton completed the turnaround in the 61st minute from a slick team goal to make it 2-1.

Blacktown City FC turned to their bench, and it helped them turn the game around. Substitute Riley Nolan thumped home a pair of headers in the 64th and 68th minute to give the visitors a 3-2 lead and on course for three points.

The young Sky Blues kept fighting and produced another equaliser in the 78th minute. Graoroski had a striker’s finish from close range to make it 3-3 in a cracking contest.

The Sharks have secured their spot in the top flight of the NPL Men’s NSW competition after downing Mt Druitt Town Rangers 2-0 in their last home game of the season.

Sutherland was spurred to victory through goals by Maki Petratos and Tariq Maia, with the one negative coming in the form of a straight red to Richard Shoueiki, while the result keeps the Rangers at risk of finishing the season in the relegation zone.

NWS Spirit FC 3 v Central Coast Mariners 1 @ Christie Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
NWS Spirit FC secured its first ever National Premier League NSW Men’s Premiership thanks to a 3-1 win over Central Coast Mariners at Christie Park.

Saving one of their best performances for a big night for the club, Yu Okubo was involved throughout scoring a brace before Michael Konestabo took the lead out to three before the hour mark.
Riding the momentum wave from their midweek win over St George FC that secured Australian Championship status, NWS Spirit FC were simply the most consistent team in 2025 as the club celebrated a thoroughly deserved Premiership.

APIA 1 v St George City 0 @ Lambert Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

APIA Leichhardt in the penultimate round of the regular season in the NPL Men’s NSW got away with a narrow 1-0 win over St George City thanks to a Rory Jordan goal straight after halftime.

It was a close and tight game all the way but for the Lambert Park based side, the three points in the bag was the key takeaway from the contest going into next week’s final round.

Wollongong Wolves 1 v Marconi 1 @ WIN Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights
Wollongong Wolves and Marconi Stallions shared the points in a tense 1-1 draw on Saturday evening at WIN Stadium.

The Wolves opened the scoring half an hour in courtesy of a superb Lachlan Scott volley before Tyren Burnie equalised late in the first half.

Chances continued to flow in the second half, but neither team could find a winner.

Western Sydney Wanderers 3 v St George FC 0 @ Wanderers Football Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Western Sydney Wanderers FC took a huge step to survival after their 3-0 win against St George FC at a crisp Wanderers Football Park on Saturday evening.

The Wanderers were bright in the first half and made it 1-0 in the 31st minute. Aydan Hammond rolled home to make it 1-0 and they took a precious lead going into the half-time break.

St George FC pushed the young side in the second half, but the Wanderers dominated the moments which mattered in this game. Anthony Pantzopoulos curled in a free-kick which substitute Tristan Arrate knocked home for 2-0 in the 85th minute. Rounding off the win was substitutes Max Hately and Johnny Pavlovic combining for the latter to tap home for 3-0 in the 89th minute.

Wanderers saw out the rest of the game without incident and moved themselves off the bottom of the NPL Men’s NSW ladder headed into their huge final day clash against fellow academy side Central Coast Mariners FC.

Rockdale Ilinden 0 v Manly United 0 @ Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights
Finals bound Rockdale Ilinden have now gone seven matches without recording a win falling a frustrating scoreless draw against Manly United at the Ilinden Sports Centre on Sunday.

While Rockdale will perhaps be the side more disappointed with the result, it was their opponents who had the better game, creating numerous chances to win it while mostly preventing the home side from creating anything of real meaning.

Manly hit the crossbar three times, the last of which came in stoppage time, as a stunning long shot from Charlie Kanu bounced off the crossbar, but just avoided crossing the line, in a performance the away side will be proud of.

Sydney United 58 2 v Sydney Olympic 1 @ Sydney United Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights
A Bailey Rule goal in the dying seconds of the match has put Sydney United 58 into the 2025 NPL Men’s NSW finals after a nail-biting 2-1 win over Sydney Olympic at Edensor Park.

Sydney United 58 were providing most of the close calls early on, despite Sydney Olympic seemingly controlling the ball, and it was Luke Zuvela to put Sydney United in front 20 minutes in.

Sydney Olympic came into the second half gunning for an equaliser and it only took two minutes for Ryan Feutz to do just that.

But it was Sydney United 58 who claimed the finals position and the win, as Bailey Rule scored in the dying seconds to take the victory 2-1.
