Current PlayStation4 National Premier Leagues NSW Mens Champions Blacktown City proved too slick for their staunch rivals Blacktown Spartans, defeating the PlayStation4 National Premier Leagues 2 NSW Men’s side 6-0 at Lilys Football Centre over the weekend.
Mark Crittenden’s men were a class above the Spartans as goals from Roberto Speranza, Mitchell Mallia and doubles from Joey Gibbs and Danny Choi gave the City boys their first piece of silverware for 2017.
Blacktown Mayor Stephen Bali watched on as he saw Blacktown City prove that they will be a side to again watch out for in NSW’s top tier competition as they totally outclassed their opponents who fielded a squad full of new faces.
Blacktown City FC kick off its 2017 season with a round 1 away clash at Hensley Athletic Field against Hakoah Sydney City East on Sunday 12th March (3pm) while the Spartans face St George FC this Sunday at Seymour Shaw with kick off set for 7pm.
