Gavin Rae parts company with Hakoah Sydney City East
National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s side Hakoah Sydney City East FC wish to advise that Head coach Gavin Rae will be leaving the club.
The club would like to thank him for the huge contribution he has made both as Head coach over the last three years and as a player for the previous 3 seasons.
As Technical Director Gavin has also been a great ambassador for the club’s values and culture with many of the first team players having come through the ranks.
Chairman Jon Pillemer thanked the former Scottish international’s time with the club.
“After much consideration and by mutual agreement, Gavin and the club felt we both needed a fresh start and a new challenge.
“It has been a privilege for the club to have a football legend like Gavin Rae involved with us both on and off the field.
“In his three seasons as manager, Hakoah won the Waratah Cup final in 2017 and was runner-up in 2018.
“He also led the club to the last 16 of the FFA Cup in 2017 and the last 32 in 2018.
“These were some of the club’s greatest achievements in the last 32 years.”
Rae wished the club all the best with their future endevours.
“I want to thank the club and the players for their support over the past 3 years and wish them the best for the future.”
The club will begin a search for a new coach for the 2020 season.
