APIA Leichhardt 2 v Bulls FC Academy 2 at Lambert Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

It was a case of three precious points lost as National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s high-flyers APIA Leichhardt FC were held to a 2-2 draw against bottom of the table side Bulls FC Academy on Saturday night at Lambert Park.

The first half was actioned-packed with three goals in the space of seven minutes.

Jack Armson put the home side in front midway through the half before Joel Bertolissio and Mason Wells both scored for the Bulls which sent the side into halftime with a lead.

Jack Stewart equalised for APIA within the first minute of the second half, but the hosts were unable to push on and find a winner in the remainder of the game.

NWS Spirit FC 1 v Manly United 3 at Christie Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Manly United claimed their first away win of the 2023 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s season with a 3-1 victory over an out of sorts NWS Spirit in an entertaining clash at a warm Christie Park on Saturday.

In a see-sawing game Brazilian maestro Bruno Mendes gave the visitors the lead in the first half before Spirit struck back on the hour through Corey Kavanagh. However, the visitors proved too strong scoring two late goals via Marcus Lai and Benjamin Koop that sent the three points to the Northern Beaches.

Marconi Stallions 0 v Sutherland Sharks 2 at Marconi Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights

The Sutherland Sharks caused a major boil-over, upsetting the Marconi Stallions on Saturday night, securing a 2-0 win at Marconi Stadium.

An early goal to Jesse Photi and a second-half goal to Louis Khoury were unanswered by the hosts as they struggled to be clinical in the final third.

Sutherland’s strong defensive display, led by National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s stalwart Mitchell Stamatellis, was key to their success as the new-look side collected their second win of the 2023 season.

St George City 5 v Wollongong Wolves 3 at Penshurst Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

St George City continued its impressive National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s debut with a highly entertaining 5-3 victory over the Wollongong Wolves at Penshurst Park on a balmy Saturday evening.

In a match that see-sawed it was the visitors who took the lead via Alex Masciovecchio in the 12th minute against the run of play.

The hosts equalised via the spot thanks to Dean Pelekanos in the 21st minute before Wolves went ahead again via Jake Trew in the 30th minute.

The goals continued to flow as Presley Ortiz equalised for City before Aiden Mostofi gave St George the lead just before the break.

Jordan Roberts then made it 4-2 just after the break before Wolves defender Banri Kanaizumi breathed some life back into David Carney’s side with a well taken header in the 51st minute.

Franco Maya however had other ideas as he finished off the game converting the night’s second penalty in the 87th minute that gave Mirko Jurilj’s side the three points.

Central Coast Mariners 1 v Mt Druitt Town Rangers 4 at Pluim Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Mount Druitt Town Rangers FC have earned their second win of the season over a fatigued Central Coast Mariners side.

The home side struck the net first through Sasha Kuzevski in the 12th minute, before a 39th minute Anthony Frangie penalty equalised for the visitors.

The Rangers had a second penalty awarded on the stroke of half time, but on this occasion Frangie’s penalty was saved by Patrick Beach.

Mount Druitt came out of the sheds looking to punish a sluggish Mariners and did exactly that with the go-ahead goal to Nikola Skataric in the 59th minute.

Kotaro Katsuta was good value for his brace, scoring in the 67th and 73rd minutes to finalise the 4-1 win for the Rangers.

Rockdale Ilinden FC 5 v Western Sydney Wanderers 1 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Rockdale Ilinden FC have scored four goals in the second half to make it six wins in a row against the Western Sydney Wanderers at Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre.

While there were very few chances in the first half for both sides, Rockdale skipper Alec Urosevski opened the scoring four minutes into injury time delivering a precise penalty after Marcus Younis took out Brendan Cholakian in the 18-yard box.

After the break, the game took a complete turn with Rockdale’s attack delivering four goals including Urosevski’s 100th goal in the Rockdale uniform.

He was joined on the scoresheet by Brendan Cholakian in the 48th minute, Lachlan Griffiths in the 66th minute and Peter Kekeris who closed out the game in the 86 minute.

Unfortunately, they were unable to keep a clean sheet with William Mutch scoring an own goal after Wanderers Nathanael Blair got past goalkeeper David Bradasevic.

Sydney United 58 0 v Sydney FC 1 at Sydney United Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Sixteen-year-old Mitchell Glasson was the hero for Sydney FC as they secured an impressive last minute 1-0 win over Sydney United 58 on a scorching hot Sunday afternoon at Sydney United Sports Centre – A win which knocked United 58 off the top of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s ladder with Rockdale Ilinden bagging pole position after seven rounds.

In a game that was heavily affected by the heat in the first half, it wasn’t until the 90th minute when the Sky Blues would snatch a monumental late goal.

After getting past his man in the box, Kealey Adamson picked out Glasson at the back post where he calmly headed his chance home to give Sydney FC the winner in the 90th minute.

Blacktown City 5 v Sydney Olympic 1 at Landen Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights

Blacktown City have defeated Sydney Olympic with a five-star performance at Blacktown City Sports Centre, prevailing 5-1.

The home side opened the scoring as a long ball found Jak O’Brien in behimd, with the forward converting clinically against a stranded Nicholas Sorras.

They doubled their lead in 42nd minute, as Travis Major received the ball in the box, held off a defender, turned and shot clinically into the bottom left corner.

Blacktown made it three early in the second half, with Carlos De Oliveira finishing off a good move at the back post, before Major scored his second and his sides’ fourth, finishing a rebound off a Sorras penalty save after missing the initial effort.

Sydney Olympic clawed a goal back off a Ziggy Gordon header after a good out swinging corner from Adam Parkhouse, but Blacktown then added a fifth, with O’Brien gaining a brace beautiful ball from Grant Lynch to the back post was squared across goal by Major.
