The Marconi Stallions continued its surge for the 2025 National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW Premiership with a resounding 3-0 victory over Manly United at Cromer Park on Friday evening.
Matej Busek scored one of the best goals this season after some great lead-up work which saw Jake Trew assist to the young gun who smashed his effort from long range that gave the visitors the early lead.
The reigning Champions scored an early goal in the second half via Trew as Franco Maya put the icing on the cake in the dying stages of the game with a cheeky lob that secured all three points to the Stallions that kept them in top spot.
Sutherland Sharks 0 v APIA Leichhardt FC 2 at Seymour Shaw – Full Match Report and Highlights
APIA Leichhardt FC inflicted more pain on the Sutherland Sharks as the reigning Waratah Cup Champions took out the round 13 National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW clash 2-0 thanks to second half strikes from Seiya Kambayashi and Josh Symons at Seymour Shaw on Saturday.
The Sharks’ seemingly cannot buy a goal at the moment as their malaise in front of the posts continues unabated and were eventually put to the sword by a slick APIA side that could have netted more throughout the match but for desperate defending.
But it was Kambayashi who spun in the area to fire a low shot into the net to give APIA the lead with Josh Symons doubling the scoreline with a simple tap in after Danijel Nizic, Sharks’ ‘keeper, initially blocked a Sean Symons effort after the break.
NWS Spirit FC 1 v Wollongong Wolves 0 at Christie Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
NWS Spirit FC returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over the Wollongong Wolves in round 13 of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW at Christie Park on Saturday.
The winner was scored by 20-year-old Harry Keys who scored his first ever NPL Men’s NSW goal and one that he will long remember in Spirit colours.
St George City 3 v Central Coast Mariners 2 at Penshurst Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
St George City secured a 3-2 victory over Central Coast Mariners on Saturday night at Penshurst Park in a competitive affair.
Paolo Mitry opened the scoring for City before Harper Ryles restored parity within a few minutes.
Mark McNulty re-established the home side’s lead heading into halftime and extended City’s lead to three heading into the final 10 minutes.
Ayouk Mow’s goal gave the visitors some hope in what remained, but St George held on to secure the points.
Sydney United 58 2 v Mt Druitt Town Rangers 0 at Sydney United Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights
Sydney United 58 secured a valuable three points with a 2-0 victory over Mt Druitt Town Rangers at Sydney United Sports Centre on Sunday afternoon.
A penalty conversion from Patrick Antelmi in the 65th minute and a 91st minute goal from substitute Stephan De Robillard saw the hosts come out on top of the hard-fought match.
Rockdale Ilinden 4 v Sydney Olympic 0 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights
Rockdale Ilinden put together a dominant performance to defeat staunch rivals Sydney Olympic 4-0 at the Ilinden Sports Centre.
The hosts overwhelmed the Blues with goals from Alec Urosevski, Moudi Najjar, Brendan Cholakian and Brae Ovens guiding them to victory and preserving their place in second.
Western Sydney Wanderers 0 v Blacktown City 4 at Wanderers Football Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
Blacktown City have secured their fifth win in a row with a 4-0 victory over the Western Sydney Wanderers at Wanderers Football Park.
The visitors opened the scoring with a Travis Major goal in the 26th minute, before doubling it seven minutes later with a sensational strike from Danny Choi.
In the second half, two quick red cards to Wanderers players Ricky Fransen and Kaan Nizam took the game out of doubt, which was compounded by goals to Nicholas O’Brien and Martin Fernandez, as Blacktown head into round 14 third on the ladder.
