St George City Look to Build Momentum in 2026

St George City will enter the upcoming National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW season with a clear sense of purpose, as returning head coach Mirko Jurilj prepares his squad for another competitive campaign.
With Jurilj back at the helm, the Penshurst Park outfit has been active in the off-season, strengthening its playing group with a number of new faces eager to make their mark at NPL level. Among the signings are Ben Berry, Brae Ovens, Stefano Rossello, Oscar Gultekin, Theph Theph, Franklin Jan, Yohn Pedersen, Roman Culina, Matthew Jackson, Hiroto Domoto and Ahmed Taleb, all of whom add depth and variety to City’s squad heading into 2026.
Continuity remains an important pillar for the club, with several key players committing for another season. Goalkeeper Jack Kenny returns between the posts, alongside Matthew Wahby, Louis Khoury, Solomon-Johnn Monahan-Vaiika, Paolo Mitry, Jesse Photi, Brodie Clarkson and Tarik Ercan.
Under Jurilj’s guidance, St George City will be aiming to build momentum throughout the season, with ambitions of securing finals football and challenging for silverware.
City’s 2026 campaign gets underway with a tough opening assignment, travelling to Cromer Park to face Manly United in a Round 1 clash on Friday, 6 February.
