Let’s take a look back at all the action from Round 16 of the National Premier Leagues NSW competition.

Sutherland Sharks 1 v NWS Spirit FC 0 @ Seymour Shaw
The Sutherland Sharks claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over NWS Spirit FC at Seymour Shaw Park in testing, rain-affected conditions. Despite sustained pressure from the visitors, Richard Shoueiki produced a moment of brilliance with a stunning long-range strike that proved the difference in a tight and physical contest.

UNSW FC 2 v Sydney United 58 0 @ The Village Green
UNSW FC secured a huge three points as they took out NPL Men’s NSW heavyweights Sydney United 58 in the rain with a 2-0 victory thanks to a double from star player Jyden Harb at the Village Green on Saturday.
In a game defined by physical contests, heavy conditions and moments of quality in key areas, UNSW FC again found a way to deliver when it mattered most, with Harb the difference once more as the home side extended their strong start to the season.
Sydney United 58 controlled large patches early, but UNSW FC’s organisation and efficiency in front of goal proved decisive for Gabe Knowles men.

St George City 1 v Manly United 2 @ Penshurst Park
Manly United FC edged St George City F2-1 in a tightly contested clash at Penshurst Park, with both sides locked in a physical midfield battle for much of the match and little separating them across the 90 minutes.
Kakeru Ono gave Manly the lead just before half-time with a well-taken free-kick, before Jesse Photi levelled early in the second half for the hosts, but the visitors ultimately secured all three points in stoppage time when substitute Ayumu Kimura produced a composed late finish to seal a dramatic victory.

APIA 1 v Marconi 1 @ Lambert Park
APIA Leichhardt and Marconi Stallions shared the points in a tense and high-quality Derby d’Italia at Lambert Park, with both sides producing moments of brilliance in a 1-1 draw.
Marconi struck first through a stunning long-range effort from Marko Jesic, but APIA responded late with Levi Sciuriaga finishing calmly in stoppage time to rescue a point. In a tightly contested tactical battle, both sides had chances to win it but ultimately had to settle for a draw in a match defined by defensive structure and late drama.

Wollongong Wolves 2 v St George FC 0 @ Macedonia Park
The Wollongong Wolves continued their outstanding form with a dominant 2-0 win over St George FC at Macedonia Park, extending their unbeaten run to 12 matches while deepening St George’s struggles with a tenth straight defeat.
Goals from Alex Masciovecchio and Sebastian Hernandez secured the points, with the Wolves controlling large spells of the match after Masciovecchio opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a superb curling strike before Hernandez finished a sharp counter-attack early in the second half.

Blacktown City 0 v Sydney Olympic 2 @ Landen Stadium
Sydney Olympic secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Blacktown City in a relegation six-pointer at Landen Stadium, boosting their survival hopes with a disciplined and clinical performance.
After a tight first half, Sebastian Kakucka opened the scoring with a composed finish for his first senior goal before Marcus Fernandez sealed the result late with a well-worked team move.
Olympic also recorded their first clean sheet of the season, producing a strong defensive effort to claim only their third win of the campaign.

Rockdale Ilinden 0 v WSW 5 @ Ilinden Sports Centre
Western Sydney Wanderers produced a dominant 5-0 away performance over Rockdale Ilinden, effectively deciding the match early after Oscar Morrison’s third-minute header set the tone. Rockdale were reduced to ten men with Hunter Elliot sent off before halftime, and the Wanderers capitalised with clinical finishing through Alaat Abdul-Rahman, Tristan Arrate (2) and Harper Ryles in a complete attacking display.
The result never looked in doubt as the Wanderers controlled the game from start to finish to deliver a statement win against one of the league’s strongest sides.
