Round 3 of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition is set to deliver another blockbuster weekend, with fierce rivalries and crucial early-season matchups taking centre stage.

With momentum building and pressure already mounting, teams will be eager to stamp their authority on the 2026 campaign.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead.

MANLY UNITED FC vs APIA LEICHHARDT FC

7:30pm, Friday 20 February 2026 – Cromer Park

Round 3 kicks off under Friday night lights as Manly United host APIA Leichhardt at Cromer Park.

Manly remain unbeaten after grinding out a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Blacktown City in Round 2. New goalkeeper Mackenzie Syron has been immense, recording back-to-back clean sheets following their 1-0 win over St George City in the opener.

APIA, meanwhile, secured their first win of 2026 in thrilling fashion, defeating reigning Premiers NWS Spirit 3-2. Presley Ortiz and Jordan Segreto fired them into a two-goal lead before Jack Stewart converted from the spot. A late Spirit surge tested them, but APIA stood firm.

APIA won both encounters in 2025 (2-1 and 1-0), but Manly’s defensive steel sets up a fascinating clash between structure and attacking flair.

SYDNEY OLYMPIC FC vs ST GEORGE CITY FA

5:00pm, Saturday 21 February 2026 – Belmore Sports Ground

Sydney Olympic return to Belmore brimming with confidence after a dominant 5-1 victory over SD Raiders.

After Yuta Komura’s opener was cancelled out, Olympic exploded in the second half through Marco Arambasic, Marcus Fernandez, George Louca and Ziggy Gordon in a ruthless display.

St George City, however, remain winless after a 0-0 derby draw with St George FC. They’ll be desperate to break through and secure their first victory of 2026.

Olympic had the edge in 2025, and with momentum on their side, they’ll look to press home their advantage.

UNSW FC vs SD RAIDERS FC

5:15pm, Saturday 21 February 2026 – The Village Green

Two newly promoted sides collide in a high-stakes showdown at The Village Green.

UNSW have shown promise but are yet to convert performances into points, falling 2-1 to Wollongong after leading early through Oliver Puflett.

SD Raiders suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat to Olympic despite Noah Chianese’s first-half equaliser.

Both teams sit in the bottom two after Round 2, making this clash an early-season six-pointer with significant implications.

SUTHERLAND SHARKS FC vs ST GEORGE FC

5:30pm, Saturday 21 February 2026 – Seymour Shaw

Sutherland are searching for their first win under new coach David Perkovic after a narrow 2-1 loss to Sydney United 58.

Despite equalising and playing against ten men for a half, the Sharks couldn’t capitalise.

St George FC, meanwhile, remain unbeaten and yet to concede after a disciplined 0-0 derby draw. Defensive resolve has defined their start to 2026.

With both sides eager to build momentum, expect a fierce and physical contest at Seymour Shaw.

NWS SPIRIT FC vs SYDNEY FC

5:30pm, Saturday 21 February 2026 – Christie Park

Both sides enter this clash seeking redemption.

Sydney FC were heavily defeated 4-0 in the derby against Western Sydney Wanderers, conceding six goals across their opening two matches.

Spirit nearly staged a remarkable comeback against APIA after trailing 3-0, with Aiden Mostofi and Shoki Yoshida igniting late hope.

With pride and points on the line, this shapes as a crucial early-season test for both outfits.

ROCKDALE ILINDEN FC vs BLACKTOWN CITY FC

7:30pm, Saturday 21 February 2026 – Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre

Saturday night football features two heavyweights.

Rockdale suffered a 4-1 defeat to Marconi last weekend, conceding three first-half goals before Moudi Najjar pulled one back.

Blacktown remain unbeaten after a tense 0-0 draw with Manly.

Ilinden had the edge in 2025, winning all three encounters — including a Finals Series triumph — adding extra intrigue to this latest chapter.

WOLLONGONG WOLVES FC vs MARCONI STALLIONS FC

3:00pm, Sunday 22 February 2026 – Macedonia Park

Sunday afternoon promises fireworks as Wollongong host Marconi.

The Wolves claimed their first win of 2026, coming from behind to defeat UNSW 2-1 through Sebastian Hernandez and Kazuya Yamamura.

Marconi were clinical in Round 2, dismantling Rockdale 4-1 with Damian Tsekenis scoring twice, alongside Jack Armson and Marko Jesic.

Recent meetings between these sides have produced drama, big scorelines and unforgettable moments — and this one promises no less.

SYDNEY UNITED 58 FC vs WESTERN SYDNEY WANDERERS FC

5:00pm, Sunday 22 February 2026 – Sydney United Sports Centre

The weekend concludes with a blockbuster.

Sydney United 58 sit top after back-to-back wins, overcoming adversity to defeat Sutherland 2-1 despite playing a half with ten men. Anthony Krilic’s winner sealed a statement result.

They will, however, be without captain Adrian Vlastelica following his red card.

The Wanderers arrive full of confidence after a dominant derby win over Sydney FC, with Alaat Abdul-Rahman, Oscar Moore and Awan Lual all finding the net.

Top-of-the-table stakes and attacking firepower make this a fitting finale to Round 3.

With rivalries reigniting, unbeaten runs on the line and early-season pressure building, Round 3 is shaping as a defining weekend in the 2026 NPL Men’s NSW season.
