Let’s take a look back at all the action from Round 17 of the National Premier Leagues NSW competition.

Sydney FC 0 v Western Sydney Wanderers 6 @ Ilinden Sports Centre
Awan Lual produced a sensational four-goal performance as Western Sydney Wanderers dismantled Sydney FC 6-0 in a dominant derby display at Ilinden Sports Centre.
The visitors struck early through Lual inside the opening minute before Lachlan Sattout added a second just before half-time.
The Wanderers then took complete control after the break, with Lual completing his hat-trick almost immediately, adding a fourth from the penalty spot late on in a clinical masterclass.
Alaat Abdul-Rahman also got on the scoresheet as part of a slick team move, while Sydney FC struggled to recover despite creating early chances, ultimately ending the match well beaten in both scoreline and momentum.

Manly United 0 v Blacktown City 0 @ Cromer Park
Manly United and Blacktown City played out a tense 0-0 draw at Cromer Park in a match defined by defensive organisation and missed chances, with both sides creating openings but failing to find a breakthrough.
Manly had the better of the early opportunities through Cai Evans and Darcy Burgess, while Blacktown threatened through Tanaka and Travis Major, particularly in the second half. Despite a handful of close calls and strong goalkeeping at both ends, neither side could convert, leaving Blacktown further entrenched in the relegation battle in 15th place and Manly with slightly more breathing room, though both remain in a difficult run of form this season.

UNSW FC 1 v Wollongong Wolves 0 @ The Village Green
UNSW FC ended Wollongong Wolves’ 12-match unbeaten run with a hard-fought 1-0 win at The Village Green, secured by a second-half penalty from Jack Fulton in a tightly contested encounter. Both sides had chances in an open first half, with goalkeepers Daniel Solsky and Tristan Prendergast making key saves to keep the game level.
UNSW FC created the better opportunities after the break and were rewarded when Emilio Vinci was brought down in the box, allowing Fulton to convert from the spot.
Despite late pressure from the Wolves, including a goal-line clearance and a missed header at the back post, UNSW held firm to maintain their strong home record and hand Wollongong their first defeat since February.

St George FC 0 v St George City 1 @ Barton Park
St George City claimed derby honours with a 1-0 win over St George FC at Barton Park, striking early in the second half through Mason Tatafu’s long-range effort.
In a match where City started strongly and controlled key phases, Tatafu’s strike proved decisive after a deceptive bounce wrong-footed goalkeeper Nicholas Sorras. Despite St George FC pushing for an equaliser and creating late chances, they were unable to break through as their difficult run of form continued.

NWS Spirit FC 1 v APIA 2 @ Christie Park
APIA Leichhardt FC snatched a dramatic 2-1 win over NWS Spirit FC at Christie Park in a tight, high-quality contest decided in stoppage time.
Spirit controlled large portions of the match and took a deserved 1-0 lead early in the second half through Kaan Nizam, but APIA responded through Max Court to level the scores after a tactical shift. With the game seemingly headed for a draw, substitute Presley Ortiz struck in the 95th minute from a Cameron Fong delivery to seal a late, hard-fought victory for APIA.

Marconi 1 v Rockdale Ilinden 1 @ Marconi Stadium
Marconi Stallions and Rockdale Ilinden played out a 1-1 draw in a tightly contested Match of the Round at The Palace, with both sides having strong spells in an entertaining encounter.
Rockdale struck just before half-time through Moudi Najjar after a clinical finish against the run of play, before Marconi responded in the second half with Jack Armson converting after sustained pressure and multiple blocked efforts.
Despite Marconi edging the chances and Rockdale backing up from a midweek cup fixture, neither side could find a winner as the Stallions extended their unbeaten run to nine matches and retained top spot on the ladder.

Sydney United 58 0 v Sutherland Sharks 1 @ Sydney United Sports Centre
Sutherland Sharks secured a statement 1-0 away win over Sydney United 58 at Edensor Park, with Thijs Van Amerongen scoring the decisive goal just before half-time from close range after a corner. In a tightly contested match, Sydney United created several chances through Mason Wells, Kyle Cimenti and Leroy Jennings but were repeatedly denied by standout goalkeeper Danijel Nizic and a disciplined Sharks defence.
Despite sustained pressure after the break, Sutherland held firm to claim a second straight victory and continue their rise up the ladder.
